Lyndsey was born a Jersey Girl, but raised in the wild landscape that is Orlando, Florida. She earned a BA in Theatre with a Musical Theatre Performance Concentration from James Madison University. After college, Lyndsey embarked on performance careers based in New York and Chicago, her most notable credits include the Broadway North American tour of Mamma Mia (Sophie U/S), the Original Broadway-in-Chicago company of Jersey Boys (Francine and others), and the televised 59th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards.
While Lyndsey is an accomplished musical theatre artist, she is first and foremost, an actor. Pedagogically, her performance work incorporates concepts from: Uta Hagen, Chekhov, and Robert Cohen. Lyndsey is also deeply passionate about movement work and integrates this passion into her craft, utilizing The Feldenkrais Method, Laban Movement Analysis/Bartenieff Fundamentals, Alexander Technique, Lecoq, Linklater and concepts derived from Katy Bowman’s Nutritious Movement. Additionally, Lyndsey loves to incorporate neuroscience and psychology research as process for achieving raw emotional states in ways that feel safe, healthy and, most importantly, trauma-free
Since the pandemic, she continued her acting performance training at The University of Georgia as well as furthering her skills as a Theatre/Movement Educator and academic. While studying at UGA, Lyndsey did extensive research and development of a solo show entitled “The Beginning of Things: A Feminist Dreamscape.” Told through modern dance, prose, song, and mask work, this original, scripted dance theatre piece weaves Charlotte Perkins Gilman’s feminist horror novella, The Yellow Wallpaper, with Lyndsey’s own past experiences with medical sexism, as well as incorporating text from known 1st Wave Feminist writers (Kate Chopin, Virginia Woolf, Charlotte Brontë, & Henrik Ibsen). Lyndsey conducted extensive research on 1st Wave Feminism, Medical Sexism, and, most specifically, Dr. Weir Mitchell’s “Rest Cure” treatment for this piece, and was recognized as a runner-up for presenting on her research in UGA’s 2022 4:33 Arts Research Competition. For additional info on Lyndsey's work as an instructor/academic, check out the "Teaching" page of this site.
Outside of her artistic pursuits, you might find Lyndsey spending time with her husband (and voice teacher) Michael Hadary. She also loves hiking, reading, nerding out about theatre and movement work with anyone who will listen, and laughing in the rain.
Kidding about the rain, does anyone actually do that???
